The*Pharmacy Business Analyst I/II/III/Consultant *is responsible for serving as a liaison between the pharmacy business and IT in translating complex needs into application software (i.e. Tableau; SAS).
_Primary duties may include, but are not limited to_: * Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs. * Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data). * Collects and analyzes data to create summary statistics of performance. * Creates and publishes periodic reports as well as any necessary ad hoc reports. * Clearly and concisely present analytical pharmacy program both orally and in written format. * Coordinate with different departments to obtain business requirements Pharmacy Medication Therapy Management program measurements * Taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools. * Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs. * Develop dashboard using interactive data visualization products (i.e. Tableau; Qlik) * Ability to create queries to conduct reporting in SQL/SAS. * Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit. * Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing. * Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues. * Experience with reporting requirements for CMS MTM and Medicaid Mega Reg preferred. * Experience with Medicare Provider programs preferred.
BA I: Requires a HS diploma or GED, 5 years of related health care experience that includes work flow design, data analysis, and/or systems automation and testing; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. BA/BS degree preferred. Recent experience presenting, reporting, and evaluating pharmacy or medical programs preferred.. Proficiency with SQL, SAS, Tableau and Excel, important.
BA II: Requires a BS/BA degree, 3-5 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Recent experience presenting, reporting, and evaluating pharmacy or medical programs preferred.. Proficiency with SQL, SAS, Tableau and Excel, important.
BA III: Requires a BS/BA degree, 5-7 years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations; or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background. Recent experience presenting, reporting, and evaluating pharmacy or medical programs preferred. Proficiency with SQL, SAS, Tableau and Excel, important.
BA Consultant: Requires a BS/BA degree, 8 - 10 years of business analysis experience, which should include analysis, project management, working knowledge of mainframe computer, hardware and operating systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Ability to travel maybe required. Recent experience presenting, reporting, and evaluating pharmacy or medical programs preferred. Proficiency with SQL, SAS, Tableau and Excel, important.
